Sovernus, LLC is a holding company. We build companies in automation and robotics for two kinds of work that still sit awkwardly between hand labor and industrial plants: micro-scale manufacturing, and agriculture.
Mission
Most capable machines are designed for factories and thousand-acre farms. We are interested in the other end of the scale: equipment and systems that make a workshop, a greenhouse, or a few acres dramatically more productive.
The through-line is the same idea that started the company. Technology should enlarge what a person or a small team can produce, not just add another layer of software between them and the work. We still use the word techno-homesteading for that: resilient production, supported by thoughtful machines.
The goal is not busyness. It is output, competence, and independence at a scale people can actually own and run.
How we got here
Sovernus began as software for household operations: blueprints, reminders, and the unglamorous work of keeping a home and a piece of land in order. That product still exists, and it taught us where the real constraints are. Knowing what to do is only part of the problem. Doing the physical work, repeatedly, at a small scale, is the rest.
The company is now organized as a holding company so that we can build more than one business around that problem: automation and robotics for making things, and for growing food, without requiring a factory or an industrial farm.
